Developed exclusively for members of the Watches@ club and their families, the Reef 42 mm Space Green COSC 300M Automatic for Watches@ Limited Edition combines a genuine meteorite dial with the robust construction and tool-free versatility of the Reef. The edition is limited to 50 pieces.
Cut from a fragment of the Muonionalusta meteorite, the oldest known meteorite at over 4.5 billion years, the dial carries within it the story of time itself. This fragment struck Earth just over a million years ago, after journeying across the cosmos where temperatures average –270°C. In its deep green hue, the meteorite's distinctive Widmanstätten pattern comes alive. Because this crystalline structure formed naturally over millions of years, every dial is unique. No two pieces are ever alike.
At our dial manufacture in the Swiss Jura, the meteorite is elevated through a meticulous finishing process. A bright layer of 98% pure silver is electroplated directly onto its surface. Six ultra-thin layers of transparent zapon teinté, a cellulose-based lacquer infused with a subtle hint of green, are then applied by hand.
Rather than concealing the meteorite, this technique enhances it. The green tone adds depth while preserving the sharp geometry and natural brilliance of the crystalline structure beneath.
The Reef's gun-metal finished and hand-applied, rehaut-style hour markers point toward the broad hour and minute hands, which feature the same combination of brushed surfaces and mirror-polished bevels found throughout the case. The hands and indices are deep-filled with Swiss Super-LumiNova® BGW9 for clear and lasting legibility in dark conditions.
A true diver's watch by design, the 42 mm stainless-steel Reef is powered by the Swiss Made Sellita SW300-1 automatic movement. Formex uses its highest Chronometer grade, fitted with premium components and officially certified by the COSC after completing its 15-day precision test. The movement offers a 56-hour power reserve and is finished with Formex's custom-built skeletonized rotor. The case back is engraved with "10^100 Edition." “Each watch also carries its own unique serial number”.
The thin SW300-1 allows the Reef to measure just 11.4 mm in height, with a perceived height of only 9.4 mm on the wrist. This gives it the proportions and comfort of an everyday mechanical watch while retaining the capability expected from a professional dive watch. Its screw-down crown and double-gasket construction are designed and tested for water resistance to 300 m / 1000 ft.
The Reef's versatility extends beyond the water. Its proprietary quick-release systems allow the strap or bracelet and even the bezel to be changed within seconds and without tools. Two custom interchangeable bezels have been developed with this edition and both are included with every watch. They were designed in collaboration with Watches@ members and featuring polished black ceramic inserts. The first bezel places the @ symbol at 12 o'clock. Its recessed markings are filled with white Super-LumiNova® BGW9 Grade A, which emits a lasting blue glow in dark conditions. The luminous compound fills the engravings to create a particularly smooth and even surface across the polished ceramic insert. The second bezel features the Bugdroid motif. Its deeply milled engravings are filled with matte green lacquer to match the meteorite dial. The contrast between the matte lacquer and polished black ceramic emphasizes the depth of the milling and gives the bezel markings a pronounced three-dimensional appearance.
This limited edition can be ordered on any available bracelet or strap option. If the bracelet option is chosen, the watch is delivered on the newest version of the solid-link stainless-steel Reef bracelet, tapering from 22 mm at the case to 18 mm at the clasp for a more refined profile and improved wrist comfort. A new lever integrated into the folding clasp provides 7 mm of gradual fine adjustment, so the bracelet can be tightened or loosened while being worn, without tools and without opening the clasp. If ordered on a nylon, leather or rubber strap, the watch is shipped with the carbon fiber deployant clasp featuring Formex's patented micro-adjustment system, offering gradual adjustment of up to 7 mm.

Found in diving watches, the unidirectional rotating bezel is a unique feature that helps measure diving time in a handy and effective manner. The bezel can only rotate in a counter-clockwise direction, which ensures diver's safety even in the case of any accidental manipulation underwater.
A screw-down crown is a threaded winding crown that screws tightly into the case and prevents water and dust from entering. Screw-down crowns are commonly used in Diver’s watches, as they prevent from accidentally pushing open the crown, causing possible water damage.
A sapphire crystal or “glass” is a very hard, transparent material made of crystallizing pure aluminium oxide at extremely high temperatures. Sapphire is one of the hardest substances on earth. It measures 9 on the Mohs scale (diamond measures 10, the highest rating), which is a system for rating the relative hardness of various materials, making it virtually scratch proof.
Applying AR coating will limit the reflection on a sapphire or mineral glass to a very low level.
A chronometer is a watch that has been tested and certified to meet the most strict precision and accuracy standards. “Chronometer” isn’t just a name that any watch brand can print on the dial of its watches. It is an official nomenclature, defined by precise rules, which lay down the definition of the term “chronometer”, describing the categories, the test programme and the acceptable minimum requirements for wrist chronometers. In Switzerland, the COSC, or Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres, is the only official organisation allowed to certify chronometers.
Water resistance measures how much water pressure a watch can handle before it breaks. This measurement is important to know for the proper care and keeping of your watch. Water resistance of 300 m / 1000 ft means that it can be used for swimming, snorkeling and diving.

Unidirectional rotatable Ceramic bezel
Being one of the most exposed parts, the unidirectional rotatable bezel is made of an extremely hard and scratch-resistant Zirconium oxide ceramic. Machined gear-like indentations along the bezel's edge provide the grip needed to set and monitor dive time and decompression stops with confidence. The 120-click action is responsive and smooth, yet offers firm, precise control, and the bezel can be changed without any tools.

officially certified movement
The Reef is powered by a Swiss Made Sellita SW300-1 self-winding movement with a power reserve of 56 hours. We've chosen its highest quality grade "Chronometer" because it comes with premium components such as a Glucydur balance wheel which is exceptionally hard and stable, very resistant to deformation, non-magnetic, and non-corrosive. Another reason why we've purposely chosen this thin movement is because it allowed to construct the Reef at just 11.4mm thickness and a perceived height of 9.4mm. The movement is completely decorated and wound by Formex’s in-house developed and custom built skeletonized rotor. Each one of these movements is certified by the COSC (the official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute) and undergoes the meticulous 15-day rate test to ensure extraordinary levels of mechanical accuracy and precision. Each certified chronometer is unique, identified by a number engraved on its movement and a certificate number issued by the COSC. While less than 3% of Swiss watch movements are officially certified, Formex further rate test them per the same criteria after assembly, to measure if there is any deviation from the certification rates.
Engineered for More Wrist Comfort
The details on the Reef do more than shape its look, each one serves a purpose. For a timepiece built for every occasion, comfort on the wrist matters as much as precision on the dial. Formex's patented carbon fiber composite deployant clasp allows the strap length to be fine-tuned on the go, for a precise fit in any condition or temperature. The strap itself can be changed in seconds, without tools, thanks to Formex's patented Quick Release system. The solid-link stainless steel bracelet shares the same Quick Release system and features its own fine-adjustment mechanism, built directly into the folding clasp.

FINE-ADJUSTMENT DEPLOYANT CARBON CLASP
When you order your Reef on a rubber, nylon or leather strap, it comes fitted with our deployant clasp and patented fine-adjustment system as standard. The clasp itself is made from our proprietary carbon fiber composite, paired with a stainless steel buckle finished using the same technique as the case and bracelet. It's intuitive to operate and lets you fine-tune the fit by up to 7mm in gradual increments, all while the watch stays on your wrist. Lightweight, smooth to the touch and ultra-durable, the clasp works seamlessly with our Quick Release system, so strap and clasp click into place in seconds, without tools. Since all our rubber, nylon and leather straps are interchangeable, one clasp lets you switch freely between them. If you purchase a strap separately as an accessory, please note the clasp is not included and must be added on its own. It's a genuine piece of engineering, making your Reef even more comfortable to wear.
