    The Essence top of the line model is limited to just 25 pieces. It combines precious metals, which have always played a critical role in watchmaking history, with high-tech materials. The result is a stunning high precision timepiece made of an 18 ct solid rose gold case, an ultra-light case back and innovative clasp made of proprietary carbon fiber composite, a deep black and virtually scratch-proof Zirconium oxide ceramic bezel and crown, and a forged carbon fiber dial with a pattern that is completely unique for each and every piece. The Essence Oro is powered by a tested and proven Swiss Made Sellita SW200-1 self-winding Chronometer grade movement and has been meticulously tested and certified for utmost accuracy and precision by COSC, the official testing institute for Swiss Made high precision timepieces.

    Robust. With a hardness that surpasses that of any traditional metal used in watchmaking, Zirconium Oxide ceramic is a scratch-proof material that will never show any signs of wear or aging. Being the most exposed components of a watch case, both bezel and crown are made of this high-tech ceramic. 

    Luxurious. The Essence Oro is made of 43 grams of solid 18 ct rose gold, encased with the most high-tech materials that can be found in watch manufacturing. Hand-finished with undiluted passion, this Swiss Made watch is crafted with an execution only found in high-end timepieces.

    All Essence Oro straps can be changed by hand without the use of tools. The carbon fiber composite folding clasp with patented fine adjustment system can be changed without tools and can be used for all Essence Oro leather, rubber and nylon straps.

    Vertical brush finish with horizontally cut lines which are CNC machined into the dial base one by one. BGW9 Super-LumiNova on hands and indexes.

Suspension System

Since the beginning of Formex in 1999, the patented Case Suspension System has been an integral part of every single Formex timepiece. Its two main functions are:

  • absorbs shocks to protect the mechanical movement from heavy impacts
  • adds to the comfort on the wrist by adapting to the wearer’s movements

Modeled with high-performance bikes and racing cars in mind, the Formex patented case suspension system works by integrating four springs between the upper and lower watch case. The result is the ultimate shock absorption system designed to protect the mechanical movement and deliver unparalleled comfort to the wearer.

This patented case suspension system brings form and function together for Formex Swiss watches. It’s functional, it’s state of the art engineering and it’s unquestionably unique - all in one watch.

FINE-ADJUSTMENT DEPLOYANT CARBON CLASP

Your strap comes on our new deployant clasp with a patented fine-adjustment. More intuitive to operate, the new version is fully made out of our proprietary carbon fiber composite. The micro-adjustment is now even easier to use and can be operated while the watch is on your wrist. Lightweight, smooth to the touch, ultra-durable and highly functional, this clasp is a real piece of engineering, making your Watch even more comfortable to wear.
